It has been a busy start to the week in the North River anchorages. Monday morning found three tugs and tanker barges anchored. Saint Emilion with Barge A87 and Genesis Glory with barge GM 11105 were parked about a half mile apart off Morningside Heights. The Saint was pausing for a few hours on the way back to the harbor from an Albany run, while Glory came up for a rest after returning from New Haven and stayed until Tuesday morning. A bit further north was Mt. Saint Elias who had also spent Sunday on the river and then headed for the Bayridge flats Monday afternoon. By Tuesday evening, Gracie M. Reinauer had dropped anchor off Grant’s Tomb on the way back from Newburgh.
