The bulk ship Orient Focus, 620 feet long and Portugal flagged, came down the North River in ballast Saturday morning heading for sea after departing the Sims Metal dock in Albany. The bulker’s reported draft increased while in port and, having arrived there from northern Chile, she may have discharged a cargo of salt, a lot of which seems to be moving through that facility this summer. Her next destination is reported as New Orleans where she will presumably load a new cargo for export.
