On Monday I shared photos taken the prior day of Carver barges taking on road salt being lightered off the bulk ship Norse Succession anchored in the Upper Bay. Later Monday, the bulker came up the North River heading for the Port of Coeymans. Her draft was reported as just under 30 feet, allowing her to safely navigate the Hudson River marine highway and about 14 feet less than it had been when she first arrived in New York Harbor before offloading some of her cargo. Coming soon to an icy highway near you.
